🌙 What is a Mystery Scoop?
Every scoop is a surprise! Each scoop contains approximately 15 beads. Each bead corresponds to a curated treasure from our collection, making every order completely unique.
🩷 Can I choose what's in my scoop?
Sorry, but nope — and that's the fun! Every scoop is random so everyone has the same chance to discover amazing treasures.
🎥 Will I get to watch my scoop?
Yes! If you want to receive a social media video of your scoop gathering, you can add it on to your purchase when you order the scoop and it will be posted on Facebook and Instagram. Don't want a video? No problem! We will still curate your box with the utmost care, fun and chaos.
🏖️ What are Boardwalk Bounties?
Boardwalk Bounties are items on the inventory list that are a littttttle bit more, shall we say, extra than your regular bead pull. For example, a Boardwalk Basics bead might get you a beautiful headband, but a Boardwalk Bounty bead will get you a glam headband.
🦋 What happens if I pull a Butterfly Bead?
Congratulations my little Hot Mess Fairy! A Butterfly unlocks a Beach, Please!, which means it's time to open the Message in a Bottle for an extra surprise.
💎 What is Absolute Mayhem & the Mayhem Vault?
Hidden among the beads are a handful of Cape May Diamonds. What is a Cape May Diamond, you ask? They are clear quartz stones that have washed ashore at the southernmost tip of New Jersey — Cape May Point. On Sunset and Higbee beaches you can find many people out "stoning" in search of the elusive Cape May Diamond. In the rough it looks like any other ocean-tumbled stone. But when polished? It shines like a diamond (if Rihanna is to be listened to! And honestly, who wouldn't listen to Queen RiRi?). Pull one and you've triggered Absolute Mayhem — a trip to the Mayhem Vault, where our most exciting ultra-rare treasures are waiting. There is a limit of only one trip to the vault per order, unless you purchase extra add-ons during checkout.
🎁 What kinds of items might I receive?
Our scoops include jewelry, crystals, stationery, beauty items, self-care goodies, accessories, themed kits, beachy treasures, seasonal surprises, and lots of emotionally supportive nonsense. Because in today's day and age, who doesn't need a little nonsense in their lives?
🎁 Can I send a scoop(s) as a gift?
Absolutely! Simply make us aware in the special notes section of your order and we will reach out to you before scooping to ensure we have all of the proper information.
✨ Will I get duplicates?
We do our best to provide variety. Because every scoop is random, duplicates are possible, especially across multiple orders — but we work hard to keep every experience fresh.
📦 When will my order ship?
Orders are carefully packed by a certified Jersey girl and typically ship within 3–7 business days. If there is going to be a delay for any reason, we will reach out to you and keep you in the loop.
📮 Do you accept returns?
Because every scoop is a mystery, we cannot accept returns or exchanges unless an item arrives damaged or defective.
💔 Something arrived damaged. What should I do?
Email us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the damaged item and packaging. I'll make it right, or I'm not a sarcastic Jersey girl who runs on iced coffee and anxiety! Which I am, so, yeah. I'll make it right for you. 😊
🌎 Do you ship internationally?
Right now we ship within the United States only. We'd love to reach more Hot Mess Fairies down the road, but for now we're keeping it stateside.
